Key word there is want. Got to prioritize with kids, get your new tires and wait on the other stuff. Kids first, part of being a parent.

Heck with tires, buy a nice winch. The added child will curtail your driving style, while the winch can pull a lot of stuff out of your way.

Very true I have one little guy already. I need to get the truck in working condition for my little one so here are the mechanical problems first then the cosmetics which are really as important.

Only half of my dash cluster lights up. Headlamps are really dull. 2 of 4 tires have spots of dry rot. A/c doesn't work. ( I haven't tested this it's cold right now, but the guy I bought it from said it had a leak somewhere that 2-3 cans of 134 would get me threw the summer.) drivers window track and motor are broke/ out.

I think that's it. Other then the ball joints and front end aligment.

Cosmetics

Paint peeling, head liner ripped in several places and falling down. Tears in the cloth seats.

That may be it for cosmetics.

Overall I don't think it should take very much to fix everything bit suggestions welcome and places to buy for the best price always welcome.

Thanks Brandon

If your tires are 5 ply their perty strong. Just put them on the front. Ac can wait. Dash lights can wait. Look around for another window track and motor kit. That can get expensive. Glass just glues into the window track when you are putting it together. You can get a piece of poly carb and cut it to fit for the time being. Push it into place and super glue some stops on it to keep it from falling into the door channel. That can get you thru until money and parts get there. 1/8 inch from Lowes will flex and slip into the opening. Just tape the corners for draft, or if you smoke leave it open for ash. Make a cardboard cut out of your window and trace it on the poly carb and sabre saw it out, sanding the sharp edges smooth. Then take off the film after you put it into the opening. Use plastic polish to deglaze it when it gets the dull look. If you can get the old window up and held in place forget the above. Just super glu a stop on it to keep it from falling back down. You can get plastic anywhere, even a childs block will glue onto it. You can always pop it off later.

I've got the window supported. How do I know what ply tires I have?
