Everyday I'm thankful that I didn't tear my truck up mudding when I first got it, could I have made it most of the time, sure no problem... I hunt in the truck every year but never dog it. The few times I took it actually mudding something world either break or get messed up. Trashed an abs sensor, smashed a fog light housing, water in headlight ... You name it. Depending on how much you value your truck or not will determine if you go ***** to the wall in a mud hole, my personal advice would be to hop in your buddies 4x4 and egg him on to hit bigger holes and enjoy the fun while not destroying your truck.

But hey I understand it's fun for a little while, so if your dead set on mudding your 2wd.... Buckle up grip that steering wheel with two hands and don't back off the gas because the second you do there's nothing getting you out besides a 4x4 lol..

Happy Holidays.

Yep, I own two big ole 4x4's, one on mud tires and I don't go mudding lol. I go in other peoples rigs because I don't want to destroy my trucks.

Going out and getting your truck dirty is really fun, but afterwords you have to clean up, and it SUCKS. You will find places under your truck you didn't know existed when you clean the mud off your truck lol.

Thanks guys but with my truck having a cold air intake do you think I will have any problem I don't plan on swimming or doing heavy mudding with my truck pretty much where we are mudding is a big flat area but there are some spots that if a 2wd goes there is no return

growing up we would go mud riding in the sal****er marsh on edge of a bay. Got stuck a couple times and someone pulled me out. One day, friend decided to venture out on the mud flat during a low winter tide. The real low winter tides would expose the mud flat out 200 yds from shore. Some of it was sand and firm, lots was deep organic gook. Everything was great till he got stuck up to the axles. And then the tide came in....... Submerging a truck in salt water wasnt good for it. Pretty much totalled it.

My tip is... Dont do that

The possible expense when something breaks, along with the never ending mud underneath keeps me from going looking for mud. Sure I'll have to get past some every once and awhile but I do my best as to not stay in it any longer than necessary.

I went mudding in a buddy of mines blazer, we hit one hole too fast and twisted the frame some... It still drives, but the hood doesn't line up smooth now. He also needed a new starter a week later.

Go easy. Don't stop in any soupy spots. And most of all clean up well underneath after. If you don't wash it right after at least spray off the front suspension, mud will dry out rubber bushings quick.

It is possible to play in the mud and not break anything! You just have to be smart.

Use a sprinkler for the underbody when cleaning. @jackedup00 showed me that trick.
