Default Need More Horses!

Y'all might have seen my previous thread on how I can get more horses and mpg. We'll I am giving up on the mpg part. I need to beat my friends when they want to race and torque when I'm hauling! I need more horsepower! I'm willing to spend some money! Please help me!

I have a 5.4l 2003 FX4 most everything on the truck is stock except for a..
- K&N Air Filter (Don't think it helps)
- Cowboy Cut exhaust (Dual split)

The previous owner didn't do much to the truck but I plan on running the truck till it dies! I know a few things that would help such as, Long Tube headers and High Flow Cats but my only problem is what company to buy from? Ex. Flowmaster

Before I put a lot of money into an investment I want some opinions on what to buy before I put my money into something that doesn't help.. Thanks!

Speechless as in you have nothing to say? Is this a bad thing?

I would throw some twin turbo 6262's on it, add some diamond heads, oliver rods, upgrade to a 4r100 transmission, put a 5th wheel in the back of it to be productive. And if it was me, id get a set of Cobra R heads to throw on it. Just my take.

LOL. No, not a bad thing. I just enjoy his responses to these kind of questions. Look through some of the members build threads. Lots of ways to get more power. The real question is NOT "how fast do you want to go?", its "how much money do you want to spend."

I was considering doing an L swap actually! Do you know what all is needed for the L swap?

Money isn't going to be a problem when you can always save! This doesn't have to happen tomorrow I just want to get all the research done!

I could use some 4V's but those 195 will flow close to that.

The 205's actually outflow factory 4V heads. I should be a little short of the non ported 4V by less than 3% at max lift. Depending on cams, could be more.
