first off hi and thanks for any help
try to make this short but ... i did a motor swap on my 98 f150 4.6 had 300k and cams wore out replaced with 25k used motor from same yr truck.
truck still has what seems to be a miss when idle (bad when cold) but goes away when warmed up but now the trans seems to ..dont want to say slip but it revs high before shifting and has no power to rear wheels motor sound good no bogging down fluid is is good but after 1 mile run its really foamy and trans does not want to shift if i let it sit for 10-15 mins its all good till imake the same 1 mile run was told my so called miss could be trans out of balanced or something like that is it possable the new motor has enough more torq / power to lack of better thought burn up trans that fast ? i have the trans that went to the new motor and should have replaced at same time but hind sight

yes all plugs and wires are new like i say motor is running great other the the same miss type shake at cold start up just got back from a 2 mile run and she started out good but then seems to be slipping in gear so i guess ill swap the trans out and go from there
The Trans condition you are describing is called a shift flare. If the fluid is full, I would change out the Trans. It can be fixed but without the proper testing equipment, just keep it as a spare and get it rebuilt some day.
