Default Need ideas, fun project.

I've thought about doing this for years and figured it would be fun to mess around with.

I've always wanted to get a single cab with a supercrew bed on it.

I'd want to kind of do it like the NASCAR edition trucks...

* 4.6
* 5 speed
* 9" rear axle
* 15" rims

Just something small and fun... It would probably start with a standard long bed 6 cylinder work truck, those seem to be the cheapest platform to start.

Any ideas that would make it more fun or that y'all might like to see in a little concept truck haha

Maybe chop the top? Humm

What size drop would look best?
Would rather stay static, but bags aren't out of the question.

Anyone out there with some photoshopping skills? To take like a foot out of the bed?

Lets hear some input, doesn't bother me if you think it's dumb, cool, waste of time, and money... Just let me hear your opinions...

Just wondering, isn't the supercrew bed a foot shorter than a regular cab short bed?

Either t-top or make the roof removable.

Correct 5.5' bed... Short wheelbase trucks are 6.5'

Removable roof, never thought of that one, I wonder how doable that would be... A convertible hard top f-150. Sounds legit to me. See if I can find anything on the web. What's coming to mind right now is the charger in xxx the movie

Yeah your correct, always liked the little NASCAR edition trucks and would like to kinda keep that theme, just on a more powerful, smaller scale.

What's your reasoning for not wanting a slip yoke? And what tranny are you working on?

Yeah I can get a single cab short wheelbase, it's just going to be more exspensive than a long bed single cab....

When I said, NASCAR edition I just ment like one with a stick shift 4.6, but I'll be putting a cobra motor in it, not just a regular 2v 4.6

I will be going to long travel out back, most people say the slip yoke is fine unless I go to a 4-link setup, but right now with a 5" block, AAL and lift shackle my d.shaft has came out some and leaks a smidge of oil...

Lol ok, 4r70/2wd? I'm guessing

Personally my slip worked fine when I went to 49's I never lengthened my shaft either so it came out and exposed about 2" of the slip with no problems.
