I bought a tinted led third brake light off ebay, I took my stock one off I notice the stock wires are green, black, and black with a blue stripe on it. The new one has two blacks, a blue and a red one. How do I wire it up? Also I tired wiring my stock one wont light up. Did I blow a fuse? Really need some help. The new one looks sweet, just need to get it to work.

Use a volt meter to see what wire powers what. Cargo light, brake, ground. the wiring diagram in the back of a haynes manual might tell you

 

Check fuses first.

 

If it is like mine, you need to follow the wiring for the old one into the truck. The only way to do it is to pull back your ceiling and find it to unplug the stock one. Then run your new LED harness into the hole where the stock one was, and plug it in the same way. It's a pain

 

What kind did you get on mine I just had to remove the brakelight bulb and plug my new one in there

 

I bought about the same aftermarket light and it didnt come with a wiring diagram and the plug was messed up on it so how do i hard wire it into the factory harness cause the new one has 4 wires 2 blacks a red and a blue and the factory harness has 3 wires a green a black and a black with blue stripe, ive tried several different ways but cant get the brake light to work with the pedal i can just get it to stay on all the time idk what im doing wrong. I can get the cargo to work fine but the brake light just wants to either stay on or not come on when i hit the pedal.
