Default Need help with electrical problem???

I have a 2000 Ford 4X4 Expedition, sorry not a F150 but still need help. Last night we had a big lighting storm. This morning I had no power to start the truck, even the dome light would not come on. After I jumped it from another vehicle it ran fine. But the radio and the Power windows would not work except in park and neutral. Could this be caused by a faulty Neutral Safety Switch?....

Ok the reason I brought up the lighting storm was that the last time we had a big lighting storm the same thing happened with the dead Batteries. When I jumped it the AC was on without the switch being in accessory or in run? This is weird anybody got any ideas.
Thanks
Ed

After the battery is fully charged, see what happens. The modules might be confused.

Do the Expedition that year have the same problem with the leaking windshield like the trucks? where it leaks onto the GEM and fuse box causing all sorts of electrical issues including dead batteries. Check if your floor is wet under the dash on the drivers side.

Thanks will let it charge up to full and check it, haven't noticed any leaks from the windshield or wet carpet.

Thanks rtg143 that seems to have worked. Every thing is back to normal. Well the digital odometer goes to ------- when I turn the ignition off, don't think that will hurt .

Thanks again

Disconnect and reconnect the battery. The modules sometimes get confused and resetting them by the disconnect sometimes takes care of it.
