Default Need help deciding

So at a local dealer theres 2 trucks in my budget im thinking about possibly getting one of them I like them both equally both have ups and downs here's the details

97 f150 black scab 4x4 off road 4.6 156xxx miles captains chairs kinda rusty underneath drivers side back door pretty rusty $3500

98 f150 blue w/silver scab 4x4 off road 4.6 177xxx miles 40/60 bench not to bad looking underneath but gooseneck that kind worries me do to the fact idk what was hauled with it $3800

So what do you all think

Ill add that I haven't driven either yet and that will decide for me if ones driving funny however of they both do good id still like to see what youve got to say

I'd take the 97 if the rust ain't bad it's got less miles and more options for less

The rust you really have to worry about is frame/structure related such as frame/tranny crossmembers, bed crossmembers, rockers, shackles and hangers, brake lines, and cab supports... these are really common rot areas with these trucks. As long as your not worried about paint and body work you can easily find rust free doors anywhere... and you should really beat them down to around 3k on both trucks

ok so i looked at the 97 again and the rust isnt a foot up like i thought its more like 6 inches iremembered it being worse i also have a pic of both trucks plus a third i found

white 97 4x4 4.6 scab 125xxx miles no rust from what i can tell in pics $3500 by far probly the best choice however i dont really care for white which makes this kinda difficult
