Default Need help

Just wondering what people think i changed my stock exhaust and put on a 12 inch cherry bomb glass pack and dumped it out in front of the rear tire with a 5 inch tip. But now my issue is i have lost alot of back pressure and seems like i have no low end torque i would like to re-gain the lost low end torque. So any info would be great.

What diameter exhaust are you running?

I am redoing mine with smaller tubing from the cat back for the exact same reason.
I have a 3" SI 2.5" DO muffler exiting in front of the rear tire. I'm going to try a 2.5" SI 2.25" DO and see if that helps.

you need a non-glass pack muffler to keep that backpressure.

You could cut out the cherry bomb and put in a flowmaster or magnaflow muffler ...

Thanks for the input please let me know how yours comes out. I was thinking about running 2.25 inch pipe. What do you guys think would be the better sounding muffler?

What engine do you have? The volume of the pistons has a lot to do with the exhaust note. You looking for a Bite, Bark or a Growl? I'm a growl guy, so with the 5.4, I'm looking at the Flowmaster.

5.4 v8. Str8 pipes back from the cats and 3" pipes did the trick for me... now I know what your thinking, but its not super loud because its single not true duals. I love the deep, throaty tone I get

i think i want to go with the magnaflow pro xs muffler it sound nice and has a deep tone. Im just not sure if i want split rear or single or if i just say hell with it and put 4 inch stacks on it. I would love to be able to build true dual but i cant afford 2 of those mufflers at like 100 bucks each and all the pipe i would need but i will have to think it over. Thanks for the input everyone.
