Unhappy Need Help

Alright guys, I'm new here and need some help.
I just bought a 2002 f150 supercrew 2wd with 261K on original motor and trans. the motor has been knocking since i purchased it but last night it got very very bad. I'm wanting to pull a swap with a true lightning motor. how hard would it be to swap while keeping the stock wiring harness. also has anyone used the website autopartmax.com their motors seem to be about the same as everyone else and there are multiple in one place.

This has been addressed many, many times here and in other forums. Long and short of it: Using your 4R70W trans (weak for that much torque/HP without modifications) you will need a tuner. If also swapping in a 4R100, The L ECU can be used. Wiring harness requires slight modifications, if I recall correctly. Not to be a smart-donkey, but you'll find lots of info HERE and HERE.

No idea on autopartmax. Lots of people use car-part.com to do searches.

P.S. Just a suggestion: In the future, I'd suggest you use a more descriptive title than "Need Help." Lots of people won't even click a thread with such an ambiguous heading.

No problem. I'm glad you took that in the manner intended. If mine wasn't a DD, I would probably already have done it myself. I passed up a complete blower "kit" about a year ago. (Probably should've bought it and put it away )
