Trying to install an edge cs programmer on my 97 4.6 and it's telling me there's a non stock condition detected and it wants me to turn it back to stock with whatever changed it. The problem is I never used a programmer on it. The guy at edge told me back when the truck came out people used to use chips that plugged into the PCM. I looked and there's nothing plugged into it. And I tried the fusion download too. I'm just wondering if anyone has run into this problem. I am just getting very frustrated at this point.

I had the same thing happen on my 01. I downloaded a patch from their website that turned the program back to stock so that the Edge tuner could make it's changes.

 

Got it all worked out. Had to download the patch and reflash the PCM and works great.
