Default Hid static

I've never had a problem with my hids in any other truck I bought a set of bi xenon hids from xentec on eBay a while back and I've been listening to the radio but I drive mostly during the day but recently I have had to drive at night and when my hids are on I get static through the radio and when I shut them off it goes away I've checked the antenna and the ground for it making sure it wasn't too close to my ballasts but it's not even in the same vicinity so maybe someone here has had the problem and knows a quick fix

Also has anyone tried or know of an iPod/iPhone player that can hook up to a factory head unit I don't have a tape player it just has a cd and am/fm radio

Thanks
Nick

I had the same issue as well in my old Tahoe. I too was using Xentec HIDs. I was told the ballast boxs cant be mounted to anything metal or else you will get the static.

On my F15O i avoided mounting them to metal.. but still slightly pick up static. Not nearly as much as my Tahoe did.
