Default Need an engine

So since i've owned my truck i've been trying to track down the slight miss at idle.. well I finally brought it to the dealership and they informed me it was caused by low compression on the right side of the motor.......sooo.... now what to do I like the truck and I just had it all rust proofed a few month ago and have done so much work to it.. Basically i've done everything but the motor so now i could put more money into it and keep it, but I've been looking at 4 doors for awhile now??? what to do... what to do...

Keep the truck add a rebuild and then just go a buy a nice 4dr sedan, yes my truck has 4 drs but 2 are just little half doors and I have a 4dr sedan.

I had a transmission go bad in a Crown Vic. I go prices and the Ford dealership was only a few hundred dollars more for a rebuilt one.
The difference was my Ford transmission came with a 3 year 100,000 mile Ford warranty which means I can go to any Ford dealership and get it replaced or repaired.
I would put a rebuilt engine in the truck if I really wanted to keep it but I would be sure and check with the dealership to see how much a Ford warrantied rebuilt engine would cost installed. You should be able to call the service department and get a quote on the phone. I am not big on used engines at all.
The other option is to get a REAL mechanic to fix what is wrong with your engine, if you can find a REAL mechanic and not the usual parts replacer.
