New tuner - SCT LiveWire TS

MyFX4Project Build Thread!!!-forumrunner_20130615_205225.jpg

Its running way too hot right now. Idk what the deal is with my efans. I hooked the highspeed up yesterday but it cut out last night when I was driving and won't come back on I'm thinking its a fuse or something. Might put back in my old trusty fan clutch. We'll see...

I'm thinking about going back to the clutch fan too. These controllers are pissing me off, this is my second one that's crapped out. I definitely will go back to the clutch fan before I sell it

I'm sure they would do their job better if my cooling system wasn't so messed up from the start. I just don't think the one fan is good enough for my truck.

What kind are you using so I may steer clear?

How is your cooling system messed up? I only ask because after a tuner this will be what I want to do next and if it is not reliable then mileage or not I might have to stick with a clutch.

I blew a head gasket 10k miles ago and replaced everything but I think I might not have fixed the head gasket problem right away. I'm losing oil either by it being burned or going into my coolant because coolant never stays green. I think i may have a bad radiator too.
I have a derale fan controller from amazon it was like 45 bucks but I didn't really see much improvement with my efans maybe 1 mpg I just like the cleaner look under the hood and more room to work with.

Oh I got you. What color is your coolant getting to now and how long has it been taking? If I can get 1 mpg for under 100 dollars I can make that back in gas money in a 4 months or so. I really just like the open space under the hood to change everything around without having to wrangle with the clutch fan.
