Does American Racing still make good wheels?

Any other suggestions on wheels? If I'm spending the cash I'd like good ideas. I'm only going buy these once, lol.

The only thing about the fx4 wheels is that without spacers 35s will scrub hard up front on the frame. I like the polished aluminum but they can be a true pita to keep shining. Also al can crack if you hit enough rocks so pick up a full size spare on a steel wheel. I believe a 35 can fit in between the frame rails but dont hold me to it.

I didn't know about the need for spacers. That'll never happen on my truck, so I guess it's back to the drawing board.

Most wheels available in 5x135 look like crap. I'm really trying to stay away from black but that seems to be where most of the options are. If I had immaculate paint like deeregeff, I might consider chrome a little more but this truck isn't going to get painted for a long time.

Will a 17x7.5" with 0 offset have the same problem as the FX4 wheels with 35's?

What I just found was that the stock fx4 wheels have a +14 offset so some 0 offsets and 34s might be perfect.

btw the 35s only scrub at full lock

I agree the fx4 wheels are the only good looking rim ford put on these body Styles. Fair warning American racing and Mickey Thompson stopped making 5x135 rim so look elsewhere. Eagle alloy makes a wheel similar to the mt classic and will
Be easy to get a hole of for our trucks.

I am very happy with my Vision Warrior wheels. Polished aluminum and gloss black, so they have style, but not all mirrory like chrome. And they were cheap, only $395 delivered with the chrome nuts.

This is the link where I got them on ebay if you are interested.

As far as the tires, I love the ride of my Michelin LTX AT2's, but I don't get into offroading at all really.

That is a REALLY nice modification to the original rims, I like it!

I've got fx4 wheels on mine. I did end up plastidipping the "u's" in the wheel. I think it came out pretty well.
