I got screwed with 9800 for the truck. '98 V8 reg. cab short bed 4x4 manual trans. Just turned 100k miles. Mechanic owned and never seen a winter. Try finding one of those again in almost new condition. I almost never drive any of my nice vehicles because of insurance. I know they won't pay what they are worth. I never pay my insurance on time, they call me when it's past due. They don't want to pay in a reasonable time so why should I. I don't drive without coverage. Couple more years, my vehicles will be old enough for an appraisal and hagerty. Then everything should be covered to exact value.
Totally agree they usually won't pay enough but I bet your credit rating loves you

Go for it those international engines are awesome! I've seen multiple 7.3s go past 300k.

I have never had a problem with my company (big insurance has flo) they charge me 335 for 6 months on two vehicles and two drivers with 200000/500000 full coverage and 500 deductible. (2011 forester and 2002 F150 FX4). granted when I bought the F150 back in 2004 they charged me 250 a month for 1 vehicle and same coverage. but I was 22.

Only hurts your credit if it goes to collections. There is a 30 day grace period. I went to insurance school to find out it's not for me. Learned a few tricks though! I'll keep working the system, since they do it to us! I own 7 vehicles and 3 motorcycles. Can only drive 1 at a time. I think I pay my fair share for all of them. My credit score has been perfect for years. 818 doesn't have much for improvement.
