Next time you get a bill for insurance, just pay half of the bill. See what they say! All insurance is garbage in my opinion. I've had 3 vehicles totaled and never got fully reimbursed on any of them. Last truck was a 12k truck and they wanted to settle at 6k. After a 18 month battle with them. I got screwed with 9800 for the truck. '98 V8 reg. cab short bed 4x4 manual trans. Just turned 100k miles. Mechanic owned and never seen a winter. Try finding one of those again in almost new condition. I almost never drive any of my nice vehicles because of insurance. I know they won't pay what they are worth. I never pay my insurance on time, they call me when it's past due. They don't want to pay in a reasonable time so why should I. I don't drive without coverage. Couple more years, my vehicles will be old enough for an appraisal and hagerty. Then everything should be covered to exact value.

I have never had a problem with my company (big insurance has flo) they charge me 335 for 6 months on two vehicles and two drivers with 200000/500000 full coverage and 500 deductible. (2011 forester and 2002 F150 FX4). granted when I bought the F150 back in 2004 they charged me 250 a month for 1 vehicle and same coverage. but I was 22.

Only hurts your credit if it goes to collections. There is a 30 day grace period. I went to insurance school to find out it's not for me. Learned a few tricks though! I'll keep working the system, since they do it to us! I own 7 vehicles and 3 motorcycles. Can only drive 1 at a time. I think I pay my fair share for all of them. My credit score has been perfect for years. 818 doesn't have much for improvement.
