Default Is my engine toast?

Just has a plug pop as I was pulling into my drive way and immediately turned it off!! Need some insight!! 03 5.4

If you mean that a spark plug shot out of your aluminum head, then you should be fine.
They sell a helicoil repair kit for this exact thing. Im pretty sure it is seen alot with aluminum heads.

They make a kit made for that it comes with a big drill bit a big tap and sleeves to put in it don't trust a helicoil you should be able to find it on line or see if you can rent one somewhere

The V8 engine from these years is just junk design reagarding blowing out spark plugs (which in some cases can actually destroy the engine).
Don't use a heli, use the better newer quick fixes made by many companies to fix your problem, which will affect most V8's from our years at some point. Just about the most stupid design in an engine I have ever seen.

I tapped out the hole and put a solid steel sleeve in the block that the plug goes into... Looked at the helicoil for about 5sec before saying no to that!! Works good ticking is gone
