My 1997 Ford F150 XLT 5.4l
This is Old Blue fixing her up currently because the previous owner left it sitting for 2 years so my dad and i need to replace everything that could've messed up from sitting that long.

One other thing.... or two- when all the maintenance is said and done- your gas mileage is still going to be around 16(+-) mpg - thats about normal, less, of course, if you haul or pull or heavy pedal it. They were designed at a time when gas was a1.00 a gal. and mileage was low on the priority list!
And on that note, keep in mind that these trucks are not hole- shot queens!- they have ample power/torque to do what they were designed for- being a 1/2 ton pickup truck-
So, keep her maintained, drive it normally, and enjoy the old girl- these trucks are known to go 200k- 300k!-
