Default Gem module

Has anyone experienced their gem module clicking EXTREMELY FAST! I'm talking like 10 clicks a sec...? everything still works, wipers windows all that. But when I shut off my truck and open the door that thing starts clicking like crazy!

I had a similar problem a few years ago. Ended up being a relay on the interior fuse panel.

Every time I opened the door, the relay would click repeatedly because of the dome light coming on when the door was opened.

The GEM is behind the fuse panel so the sound comes from the same area.

Do you remember witch relay it was?
So I've tried narrowing it out and it sounds like it's coming more from the gas pedal area of the dash. I have a brake controller there so I've disconnected it to see if it continues.

It almost sounds like a short is happening

I believe it was relay #4.

Could be a bad ground or short somewhere.

Does it happen with both doors or just driver side?

Just driver side, I believe. Today the outside temp was a lot warmer then yesterday. But I have not had the issue happen again. Yesterday I've unplugged my brake controller. So I'm going to wait a little while longer to see if it duplicates, then reconnect the controller and see if it happens again.
