Question Muffler questions

Today I drove to the store and back, and when I got home for some reason I looked under my truck, and water was running, not driping, out of the center of my muffler. It made a pretty large puddle. What would cause that? Thats not condensation. I was also wondering if I put a flowmaster 40 on my truck how loud would it be and will I pass emmissions test with it? I have a 2002 F150 4.6L

If you keep your cats you will pass. A flowmaster will be pretty loud. I just got a magnaflow installed on mu truck and its deep and throaty. Definetly recommend that.

You will pass emissions with any muffler or no muffler.. Its safety you won't pass with out a muffler.. Flowmasters are loud but they are chambered so they don't flow very good..magnaflows are straight through mufflers with ceramic glass packing.. Unless you wanna get loud but have really good flow.. Better than magnaflow. Get the flowmaster outlaw.. Straight through no ceramic glass packing.. And when I mean straight through it's really straight through it doesn't curve..

any muffler will pass, but if you take the cats out... well that is illegal. flowmaster is loud and raspy and has chambers so it is not straight through. IMOP its just a tin can. but you can check out some vids on you tube to compare sounds, thats what i did and i decided on a magnaflow. its a nice deep aggressive growl and its straight through. cherrybombs are pretty loud too.

the water driping out of your muffler is believe it or not condensation! what happens is over time it collects in the muffler and eventually rusts through and poors out. so now that u need a muffler go with the magnaflow!!! flowmasters are garbage and sound like tin. then after awhile the baffles break loose and they need replaced cause the broken baffle will usually disrupt exhaust flow.
