2003 F150 4.6L XLY V8

What should I do? The end of the muffler that you see

you see has nothing to support it. I don't want to replace it now. I was thinking of supporting it with strong wire and then use a steel can to go over the broken end. If it lasts three months I'm happy.

 

Stop by a muffler shop, it most likley won't cost that much to weld it back up...if they can. Doesn't look too rusty and doesn't hurt to ask.

 

You could wire it up for support. There's slats under the bed to run a wire through. Joining the two pieces back together might be possible with a reducer. However you'll need a reducer that fits around the intermediate pipe that reduces down to fit inside the muffler. It's doable, just seems like a pita going that route.
