OK I'm real confused now I just called my local exhaust shop they said cutting the two rear cats will throw a code and then wants to charge me $180 to cut them out n put straight pipe in. I need to know for a 100% fact cutting out both cats wont throw a code n if I can just buy pipe n clamp it myself!
The rear two cats being cut off or gutted will not throw a code as long as you put the O2 sensor back in the same place as factory. On mine they are located in the cat.
I don't think you can cut out the cat and clamp in a piece of pipe, on mine the front and rear cats are soo close that there's not enough pipe to clamp on to.

It is a straight smooth tube, you need to separate it on one end from the outside casing. I stuck a screwdriver in to make a gap, and then grabbed it with a pair of pliers and twisted to make the tube smaller. Then I just pulled it out carefully.

Mine are literaly way in the front and way in the back and they are not in the cats at all.
mines a LEV too, stickers on the window, whats the gotts O2 mod? same thing as original or different?
Heres a link to the Gotts O2 mod, seems simple enough; but its just something else I'll have to deal with though.
