I replaced my radiator about a month ago. And everything has been fine since i burped the system. My radiator was a single core and I went with the dual core for a little better cooling. It's around 42 here in Memphis and after driving around for an hour this morning, the temp gauge is still showing around 150-160 just a little off the cold mark. Heater is blowing warm air but not hot as normal. Is my thermostat stuck open?

Id say yes. No other explaination that I can think of. The coolant just keeps circulating and cooling your block non-stop. At least its not stuck shut!!!

Haha yes I've had my experience with one that was stuck closed, doesn't turn out too good. I believe I will try that they are only around $11 at the auto parts store.

Its a 98.85% chance that will solve your issue. If not i guess Im not a great technician. Although, I am a Aviation tech and not vehicle but its all the same lol.

Try to buy a OE Motorcraft thermostat. It will last longer and are less likely to fail.

I typically don't like guys at autozone it seems like they don't know very much, and at the time I bought the radiator they said you might wanna go ahead and get the thermostat and replace it....guess I should have
