Default Missing right off idle

My 02 f150 4.2 is missing when you just barly get in the gas. Like right off idle.... I just tuned it up... Plugs, wires, coil,Throttle body cleaning and IAC valve cleaning. No codes besides a oxygen sensor code thats been on for 5 years.

I ran out of carb cleaner while cleaning the throttle body. So i'm going to take it back off sometime this week. It was pretty nasty (Truck has liek 180k on it)

And i still need to check for vac leaks. Figured i'd start this thread in case someone has ran across this before.

Hahaha.... I don't use this truck to pull my boat usually Usually used my 08.

Well, I was noticing today that the plug wires don't clip into the coil very well. Warrenty is up on the coil by 3days fml.

So i guess i'll pick up another one or come up with a way to keep the wires on it :/

While idling its got a pop in the idle, sorta like a broke valve spring or something.

did this start after you cleaned your throttle body and did you use throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner because I know on the 5.4 the throttle body has a coating that you have to use throttle body cleaner on cuz carb cleaner will take the coating off . could be something

Using carb cleaner on our throttle bodies is a big no no! As someone else mentioned, our throttle bodies have a special coating on the inside that carb cleaner will eat away.

not too familiar with the 4.2 it has a coil pack and wires correct? you may have a dud plug if its bad enough the code will come within a few minutes and if its off start up it'll come around 135 degrees cylinder head temp I believe one code will be something like p0316
