Default Mirror Glass Replacement

Hey all, I hope someone can help. I am looking for some replacement glass mirror (drivers side) with the black plate that mounts into/onto the mirror assembly. I don't need the entire assembly but I am having one heck of a time finding the mirror glass with the mounting plate. Any suggestions or ideas?

why do you need the mounting plate? with my old truck, the mirror was cracked, and I just broke it out and glued a new one in. I got the morror at a local glass shop for 12.50, and they had a book of all the right sizes and what not.

Default Mirror

Hey Ty, well we had a tornado and who knows how it happened but the glass broke and the black plate poped off the assembly part of the mirror and broke, I would love to be able to just replace the glass.

Be careful mounting it. I tried smacking it in rather softly and still broke it on my Ex. I ended up going back to the junkyard and buying the whole assembly. IIRC it was only about $10 more.

Agreed. I replaced both of mine. You have to push them in from the middle. I was off center just a bit on the passenger side and it cracked the mirror. I still haven't replaced it.

I just did my driver mirror this weekend. Ive tried doing just the glass in the past with less than decent results. The whole assembly was like $40(motorized) and took 15 minutes. I think its worth a few extra to not worry about messing up the mirror again.
