I had a free exhaust leak fix turn bad. Ended up just buying these and got them shipped to my mechanic to put on instead of the old ones...free install

nice. sounds like a good deal. from what I have read and herd. stock manifolds get more than enough flow for stock heads. so you should be alright there, unless your wanting some long tubes. I would just have them installed. and after a few hundred miles check to make sure he bolts are still tight and there aren't any leaks.

Sounds good..he had bolts break and had to pull head. Then he ended up just eating a re manufactured one for me.

WOW this must be a shade tree mechanic. he could have welded a nut on there and pulled the broke off bolts out, or use a stud extractor. but at least you got it fixed.

He's a friend of mine and a damn good mechanic so I trust him when he said the worst case scenario happened....it happens,I guess where the two bolts broke off was not the ideal position,he took the head to a machine shop and the told him to get a new or remanufactured one. That's why he paid for the new head.
