Default Rough idle

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what could be causing my rough idle. 02 5.4L SCREW.

Now the issue is extremely small as in i only notice it in park and I will feel a small "shake" for a second or two then it goes away and will come back a few seconds later and the process repeats.

Vaccum leak, plugs, wires, coil packs, egr valve, iac.....the list goes on and on. You just have to get under the hood and look around. It sucks that we can't be morw helpful but maybe try searching and see what else others have found. This topic comes up a lot.

Hey guys,

Do you think it would help to put dielectric grease ''in'' the coil boot ?
I know the guys who did my plug, didnt put anything in this except for his dirty fingers..
I have the same problem with mine, idle is kind of rough..

Di-electric grease is a product that everybody should keep in their tool box and use when doing anything electrical on your truck. First off it is real inexpensive. and it eliminates the potential problem of bad electrical connections. Since I started using it when changing plugs I have noticed a noticeable improvement in the smooth operation of the engines in all my vehicles.
