loss in power HELP
hi i have a 2000 ford f150 when i got it ,,it could do a burnout and after i put duals(no muffler true duals with glass packs) on it seemed like after that i couldnt.i tried cleaning my sensors i got new plugs and wires in and replaced 2 coil packs.do you have any idea whats wrong?
I'm not much help, but I can tell you it would be more helpful to those who are if you were more descriptive about the problem: When do you lose power, are your RPMs revving when you lose power, is you truck smoking...?
it has the 5.4 in it but does that cause it not to be able to leave a burn out then cause on like youtube other people have duals and can leave burn outs.so i dont know the truck runs great i was just wondering about the burn out thing..
yea losing that back pressure in the exhaust definitely hurts the torque down low a bit. like when you hear some v8 screamin and you look and somold pickup is barely creepin by ha. same concept. and i agree those rear discs are tough to break loose! whats the truck got for gears? and what are you running for tires?

You can reprogram the cpu for the torque curve..it has to be dialed in..unlike days of old, newer rigs need to have everything running in sync..or you can drop the intake size of the glass pack by 1/2 an inch..should give you enough restriction to adjust the curve
