Cool man...I'm glad you got a second opinion. Do you plan on doing the work yourself? If you do, make sure to post pics, tips, etc.

I ordered the steering shaft today thru ford parts dept. I got a great deal under employee Irving for $220.00. Since I'm doing the shaft I'll be replacing the steering box and pitman arm. That will be last of all of the parts o haven't replaced as of yet. I'll keep everyone informed. Ps, I'm doing the work myself.

Hey Jav_f150, let me start out saying that man I'm sorry I didn't take pictures of replacing all of my new parts. Well I'm finally done with replacing the lower steering shaft assembly, steering gear box and pitman arm. Oh man my truck doesn't rattle, drift in lanes and the front end feels really tight like it use too. I've got to a alignment though. Well I've got to say it's the best 500 dollars I've spent lately.

I didn't even take off the old pitman arm. I bought a new steering gear nut and lock washer. So all I did was put all new parts on. Pitman arm torque was 199 foot pounds. Man I had to put some *** into it. Glad that task is over and moving on to the next task. Alignment then rear brakes.
