Default Can I Patch the Exhaust Manifold

I've got the dreaded exhaust manifold leak for a while now.
I haven't been down there to look for it, to see of it's a broken bolt or what not, but my question is if I can patch the leak after I find it.
I would use Marine Tex, which they say you can use on a block. But does the metal expand/contract too much for the Marine Tex not to hold?
Thanks

There's usually too much heat and expansion/contraction for a patch to work. You might be lucky and have it be only a loose or missing bolt or gasket.
YMMV

So how do I go about looking for a missing bolt and fixing it?

either way the entire manifold has to come off if it is bolt or manifold. took me and a mechanic 7 hours to replace my driver side one. Not fun!

If you have broken bolts your in for a treat! I took me three full days of drilling to get them out and replace both sides. If you end up going down that road let us know and we will tell you how to go about doing it right.
