Default Long tube headers

I have a 2001 5.4 4x4 and I want to get some long tubes. Shorties are nice but I am looking to make a noticeable power and torque gain. What brands is everyone using? What did you do for your exhaust? Does anyone make a header back system for a long tube? What about the catalytic converters?

Look up OBX Long Tube Headers on eBay. They make LT Headers with Hi-Flow Cats for my year model. I'm pretty sure they do for your's as well.

Yes OBX does make long tubes with hi flows for our trucks, but they cost....wait for it.... about $650
If you go without hi flows
and to just get resonators, its about $475

I would definitely wanna keep my truck legal the right way. $650 isn't really too bad. A good set of shorties can run about $300-400 without cats.

I'm not sure what pacesetter are worth but high flows are in and around a $100 a piece up here

What kind of power gains are y'all seeing from the long tubes? And the pacesetters with magnaflow cats doesn't seem like a bad deal either

Forgive my ignorance, but what are the merits of long tube headers vs shortys? I'm still stock, but would love headers and exhaust to compliment my cai and tuner... What is involved to install them?
