locking differentials
It is my understanding that the f150 has open difs in the front and the rear.
is there a product out there for this body style that provides locking difs for the front or rear or both?

It has a factory option for a clutch type limited slip for the rear, nothing for the front from the factory.
There are plenty of options out there aftermarket, locker or limited slip.
The front is an 8.8, the rear is either an 8.8, 9.75 or 10.25.
ARB, Detroit, Eaton, Auburn, Yukon, powertrax, Spicer, Ox, Lock-rite are some choices you have.

For the front, selectable is the best, then limited slip. An automatic locker in the front is not a good idea on these trucks.
I know many are happy with a selectable locker up front and a good gear driven LS in the rear.
They are not cheap though, especially if you are wanting to regear (which if your going to do, do them at the same time).

I installed a Ford traction lock dif in my truck. If I were going to mess with the front I go with a locker type. In the dirt or the snow when your in 4x4 there is slip in those condition so clutches really aren't necessary I think.. I dont go off road enough to justify the expense at this point..
