Can someone please post a photo or tell me exactly where the 4 wheel drive Transfer Case Control Module is located on a 2001 F150?

Thank you.

And the GEM is specific to SOTF or manual T/case. They do not swap.

You will need your VIN to determine the correct GEM for your truck.

99 up w/manual shift t/case.......XL34-14B205-BC

99 up w/SOTF t/case.................XL34-14B205-CB

Those are the numbers for your year 4X4. Choose accordingly. You can shop RockAuto for the Cardone unit to replace. Use the part number section and be good from there

Good luck

Hi AKDoggie,

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and the valuable information.

Can you please tell me exactly where this module is mounted in a 2001 Ford F150, Regular Cab, V8? I can't figure that out.

It is part of the GEM module. The GEM module and fuse box (under the steering wheel) are all one unit.

This might be helpful for you:

It is in the cabin, drivers side of dash. It is directly behind the interior fuse box
