Look, I'm not trying to be antagonistic here. I just believe strongly that modifications that actually detract from the performance, safety and functionality of the truck are "poser" to the max. But hey, it's still a (relatively) free country.

As a guy who puts more miles on his bikes than on his cars, I know all too well that the "Loud pipes..." slogan is Harley poser BS. Loud pipes are mainly heard behind the bike. Most bikes are hit from ahead or from the side. Except at stop lights, there are very few rear-endings and in these situations bright, modulating tail lights make the bike more visible to traffic than loud pipes can. Loud pipes provide maximum irritation, can incite road rage against all motorcyclists, and no safety at all.

Ok to end the argument that is starting about pipes being loud on motorcycles loud pipes do save lives because they weight less since there is less to them so when your bike lands on you you have a small amount of weight less on you otherwise they usually don't because a teenager with their subs pounding an others with loud music and texting and what not they won't see you or hear you go to the thread flag pole if y'all wanna argue

Plus the AMA (American motorcyclist association) is trying to save us motorcyclist who are responsible with quiet pipes and responsible whether it's dirtbikes or street bikes from losing land and riding areas.

If I was to do it again I would probably do the lamin-x just for that reason. But it also depends on how many coats you do, 1 or 2 light coats is fine, but after that its pretty much solid black. I'm up in the St. Cloud/Princeton area.
