Default Lightning conversion

I’ve got a 2003 4x4 5.4 screw that im about to do a lightning blower swap on. I have pretty much all the parts but I have one question about my fuel pump. I have a duel fuel pump sender unit from a Harley/lightning truck(not sure which) and I would rather keep the factory quiet and reliable ford setup than a louder aftermarket single. How hard is it or is it reasonable to put the dual fuel pump on an NA truck fuel system? Is the wiring a lot different? Will the return system be enough if I had to wire it up as 12v constant instead of the lightning high/low speed? I tried searching but haven’t found anybody that had a direct answer to this question.

I don't know the answer to your question but everyone I know that has put a SC or turbos on a 5.4 has either gone to an aftermarket fuel control module or added a fuel pump voltage booster to control the pump.

Just bolt in the factory PFS110 Lightning pump and be done with it. You should have access if you have the donor truck. If not then get the oem fuel pump PFS110 and be good. There isn't much difference in the systems, just the pressure to the injectors. The fuel tanks are the same on the Lightning and the RC or SCabs.

Are the wiring harnesses the same? Or will I have to get a different pigtail for the truck harness? I don’t have a donor truck but I know a guy that might be able to get me odds and end parts. He parts out those trucks

If I'm not mistaken, the wiring is the same to the fuel pump. Both use the same type connector, but I can't see the pins in my pictures. I'm 99% sure that it is a plug and play because the tanks are the same, and only difference I can get out them is the Lightning has twin pumps and of course more pressure, but the mounting is all the same.

I only see one wiring harness listed for the 120wb trucks, so that pretty much settles it. It should be plug and play according to my books.

Thanks Whitey. COuldn't see the connector in the book. There must be an adapter plug but can't understand how that would work because I only show one harness for 120wb. Good catch.
