Default Light Bars Mount

I just bought a 50" curved LED light bar for my truck. I've heard that you can use the newer model Chevy/GMC model truck mounts that put the bar right above the windshield. Is this true? If so how do I do it? Has anyone done it?

Thanks

I've heard that as well, and I think there are a few people have done it.

There have been a few threads about stolen light bars, make sure yours is welded on or something.

Yea it's not hard, you'll need 07-13 Chevy 1500 mounts from rough country. They mount through the A Pillars around the window using two hex bolts. Not hard at all.

THIS WILL ONLY WORK FOR REGULAR AND EXTENDED CABS. it will NOT work for super crew models

Correct. You drill a couple small holes and the bolts go through the mount into the a pillar by the top of the windshield where your door seal is so it doesn't leak inside. You will get it if you search on Google 50" mounts on trucks.
