That could help but it would really depend on the quality of the LED and glass. Some of the cheap ones are terrible.

There are other things to think about, like the Rake of your truck and the height off the hood. My truck has a large exaggerated rake so a light mounted near the hood might not be as bad as a tuck that's leveled, or God forbid squated.

A matte black hood would absorb more light than a Gloss white hood. Some serious Overlanders subdue the center of their hoods with paint just for that reason.

I've seen people use light dams as well but only on top of the trucks.

Man you have a HD 2wd. I would be hard pressed to put a light bar anywhere on that truck. If it were mine I would retrofit the headlight so they perform just as good if not better than a knock off bar and you get to keep your clean lines.
