I mounted my pods on the metal plate above the valence hole.

That plastic is strong but I'd imagine the extra support wouldn't hurt.
Wait so you are saying just add the flat bar to hold the valence together a little better? Nothing with the light bar ?

How is your light bar yellow?

You can get them Amber. Or put Amber covers. Cuts through dust, fog, and rain better than white. White reflects more. That's why headlights are not 6000k and they are 4300k. Because it cuts through stuff with less reflection

It was an old digidiodes Amber bar. I bought it used from a friend who bought it used but never tested it and it had 3 leds go noticeably dim on me so I just ditched the idea.

No it's kinda like adding a washer to something. It spreads the weight of the light bar out over more area on the valence. I'd imagine it'd reduce how much the bar moves due to the plastic flexing when you hit bumps

Sorry for the double post, couldn't get it to double quote on my phone for some reason

Ohhhhhhh okay so just bolt the light bar to the metal bar. Then bolt the light bar and metal bar to the valence

I have two small led lights mounted on my lower valance. I'm with ScrewThat on the metal plate on the other side of the plastic. Mine flop around a little bit but not a whole lot. The valance is pretty thick on its own.

My big bar up top is actually mounted to the shell. Got it wired to a 7 pin trailer plug for easy removal/install. Along with the shell interior light and brake light.
