I am doing the same thing, also wondering if a normal F150 5" or 6" kit will work on the 7700? anybody know?

I found a 4" pro comp expecially for the 7 lugs, i wonder if its a waste of money? i think ive read of people putting normal F150 lifts on 7700s? the only thing they had to change was the shocks...any help is appreciated!!

Call a shop that does lifts and ask. I don't see why anything would be different. All the 7700 has is beefed up parts.

I don't see why it would throw off the speedo? All your doing is lifting the truck, now putting bigger tires on WILL throw your speedo off.

U-joints, ball joints ect ect will get worn out sooner than if you left it stock.

well mine is current haha, you replied within a few minutes! thanks! yeah that special 7700 is a good 700 more than the other one that im lookin at. and i really dont feel like dropping nearly 2000 on just a lift. I agree, i think that the normal lift will work. The only thing that i will have to do differently is the shocks because the 7700s have different ones. which is ok, 100 extra instead of 700!

Well your lifting your truck more than stock height, so no matter what you've got to get new shocks for the lift.

Do you plan on installing it yourself? If so, call the manufacture and ask them to make sure.

If you plan on getting it installed professionaly, it will likely run around 2k.

Another thing, if they make a 7700 lift kit specifically for it. There might be differences. I know you have a beefier trans, beefed up rearend and such.

yeah, i was planning on doing it myself. Shocks come with the lift but im thinking i would have to get different lifted shocks for the 7700. I currently have a 3/2" lift on it now. (torsion keys and 2" blocks) The blocks and u-bolts worked fine with the beefier rear end so im not worried about that. I know that there are some small differences, but i have read that normal kits still work. The keys also worked fine, although they were pretty difficult to install because the torsion bars are 1/2" thicker and also longer than normal so they didnt twist over as easy.

The only problem is is that the ride is a lot stiffer now, and im not sure if the 35x13's im putting on will fit with just that.
