ive heard you cant do aftermarket torsion keys with the rough country lift cause it puts the suspension components at too sharp of angles or something. im pretty sure the rc lift will put your truck up 4", then you can crank the torsion bars with the stock keys to get the full 5", and thats as far as you can or should go. but i may be be wrong.
yea i have the 5 inch rough country lift and im a few weeks away from getting keys to put in, i talked to a guy from rough country who said its not possible to run the keys with the lift but i found a guy from another site who has the same setup and he said the bolts are all the way backed out (on the torsion bars) and the keys add another 1-2 inches without even being cranked. and he said it doesnt interfere with anything and everything is working well so thats what im going to do. and as for the back id do the 5.5 inch fabtech blocks to replace the 4 inch blocks that rough country gives you, and than add a leaf if you still want more height so your rear would be about 8-9 inches from stock. thts what im planning, dont have the funds yet.
i have the same lift and im planning to do the same thing to run 37s it can be done just check your ball joints and drive shaft angles youll be fine ima get 6 inch true leafs from skyjacker for the rear and the keys does your buddy have pics ??
