Default lift

i want to lift my truck just a little, i dont want to affect the longevity or anything, but id like to hear some opinions about leveling kits, and add leafs, and the combo of both together. how does the add a leaf affect the softness of the ride? and how hard both are to install........and how can you tell if your torsion bars are cranked?

Leveling kits on torsion bars are the worst lift kit on the market. If the truck doesn't sit nose down then its probably been turn up a bit

Look under your drivers door and look for a crossmember where the torsion bars end at. The keys are there and you should see 2 bolts. I think stock there's about 1" of bolt? Maybe 1.5", you can crank them up to level your truck.

Now AAL, won't make a big difference... nothing to noticeable.

I have a leveling kit on my truck and it works just fine. Adding a leaf after a lift or leveling kit helps by not letting the back sag lower than the front when towing something with a decent amount of tongue weight or if you have a lot of weight in the bed.

ok now im looking at pro comp torsion keys, it says 2.5" of front lift, and then the AAL says 1.5-2.5" in the back, now i will get both of them, since that will basically lift my truck 2" of level lift which is fine.. but if i can do the torsion keys AND a level in the front. it would make it level and just higher in general, i wanna know if ANYONE has tried the torsion keys and level kit at the same time, i know it was just said its bad,, but i want more opinions. i will be fine with just keys and AAL. but if i can get another 2" for 150 dollars haha.. ill take it.. but i dont wanna risk it.

Don't get keys. They just wear out your front end way faster. And why pay $150 for two inches of lift up front, when you can turn your stock keys up 1 1/2 to 2 inches for free? Just crank the stock ones and get add a leafs

crank stock keys all the way and 1-2" add a leafs and you should be good to go. the ride will be rougher though, and you will have to get an alignment after you crank the keys
