Default Leveling kit help

Sorry if there is already a thread for this. It I couldn't find it if there is one. I am putting a 2 inch level on my 2001 Ford F-150 screw 2wd and I am wondering if there are any necessary tools other than a jack jack stands and a socket set needed for the install. Also what other parts have to be replaced. Do I need new control arms

I would urge you to do a rough country spindle lift instead. If you are dead set on spacers then be sure to get adjustable upper control arm bolts. New longer control arms are about 600.

The kit for our generation truck in 2wd is just straight up coils like take factory off and out the new ones on. My dad said those were best as if I did the spindle lift it would sit nose high and with towing I don't want it to sit nose high.

Yes but you could do the spindle in the front with blocks in the rear to still give yourself a small rake or level.

If I did that I might as well buy new shocks as well and it is cheaper to buy a whole kit from rough country if that's the route I take and even that's $450 inch I was looking to stay under $150 out the door. I'm installing it my self so labor ain't a concern

If you are doing springs why not go a cheaper route and do 2" spacers? Same lift less out of pocket. Definitely get replacement cam bolts or an alignment may be problematic.

Can you post a link to the springs you are looking at so I can find a good alternate spacer?
