Right, right. Those three I mentioned are the only ones I've come across in my research that I'd use.. They're all performance brands.

If I were doing this, which I probably would if my truck had COPs these are the ones I'd use.

So I have 180,000 on my truck and I'm not having any problems but I want to replace my coils and plugs. I am not interested in trying to up the performance, I just want reliability. Sounds like the Motorcraft plugs and coils are the way to go. Is there anything else I should switch out in my ignition system at this high milage? CAn someone recommend, a good kit or something? Maybe a little cheaper that way? Thanks

Why replace the coils at all? there not a normal wear item and are apperantly working fine right now just change plugs and if you have a coil problem later its no big deal to just change the bad coil.Bubbabud

Oh ok. I thought they did begin to wear. I just figured I would save the hassel since I had to do the plugs anyways.

That's exactly right. Replace them as they go bad, cause they're not cheap. It's not like an $8 spark plug where you go ahead and do them.
