Don't laugh, but I I use a '95 Cadillac Seville as a high-class shuttlecraft, which averages 20 or more MPG. I keep about 6000 miles a year off my truck - and I only paid $500 and a tranny rebuild.

Yes! These are the beaters I like to see. I got Tboned in my old 86 Econoline by a Toyota Camry, her car was totalled I just drove away with somewhat non funtioning side doors. Thats not even the best part though, the best part was this happend in front of the mall of america so a security officer on a bike came flying up and absolutely SMOKED a curb which popped his tire and sent him flying into the middle of the street. I called him a *****

Ill have to dig through my pics for one but my old work van definitely qualified. It was the company owner's first vehicle purchase for the company so it had "sentimental value" which meant some poor shmo had to drive this death trap since he wouldn't get rid of it. I was going about 70 down the interstate one day when the sliding door flew off (yes OFF not open) and tools started dumping out the side of the van. Thought I was going to be arrested lol. Worst part is he still has it on the road now 4 years later but the door is welded shut lol.

Jeez I feel like this is my thread. I gotta Buick, I forget the year but my sister driving down the road the tire just came off. Just came off. Made it off the road safely. But then she had to walk in the field to get the tire. She wasn't happy I laughed

Thanks! Actually, the paint really looks great. What makes it a beater is the wacky suspension that needs replacing - and isn't made anymore (each strut was quoted at $900 EACH!!!). It only beats my truck on paint - and gas mileage.
