Default Led mod question

So I saw the cup holder and cubby led light mod on here and am wondering if someone can give me a writeup on how they did it or point me in the direction of a thread that can if I missed it. Thanks

I am about 99% sure that Browningscrew has it in his build thread.

No worries. All he used were three groups of two or three leds with the leads soldered together and then connected to the wires that fed the light in one of the cupholders. Back them with 3M mounting tape and you will be set. Clean the mounting surface first with alcohol.

I changed my entire setup to blue LEDs - so the cupholder one was a T-5. Just about everything else was a 194 LED.

Where do you think I should make the power connection at?

There's already a power wire back there if your truck was originally equipped, feel in behind the cupholder for the wire feeding into the back of it, if it's there you'll twist out the little bulb and cut the holder off, then you'll wire the LED strips to it.
If the truck doesn't already have this harness you can either tap into the brown wire or the blue and red wire behind the headlight switch, either will give you power with the cluster.
Keep in mind that the LEDs are polarity sensitive so you have to pay attention to what's + and - and switch the wires around if it doesn't light the first try.

I have mine wired on a switch with the rest of my lights. Also I took the top of my cup holder off and notched the base of the bottom so I could fit a 9 led strip instead of 2 3 led strips,I think there are pics of where I notched it in my build thread
