Quick google search shows Louisiana does not allow more than 4 forward facing lights to be on at a time. You are allowed 2 headlights, 2 fog lights, 2 driving lights, and 2 passing lights but only 4 can be on.

Utah has the same law

Do you have an updated Louisiana law that allows 6 lights?

Or do you have lights < 300 candle power?
I knew the law(no more than 4) and knew that having 6 was illegal, but "technically" a lot of factory vehicles can/do have more than 4. I wasnt going argue with him about them, just turned them off. He was cool about it. I traveled that road twice a day going to and from work so I wasn't going to push my luck because I didn't want him to go over the truck with a fine tooth comb to find other **** to write me up on.

All 6 lights were HIDs so yes each was way more than 300 candle power.

Wow wasnít expecting this many replies haha
to add some info I do live in Louisiana and I already have Lightning housing but stock fog housings

I think Iíll just go with a small LED bar, about 15Ē or so behind the honeycomb, and just order a wiring harness/kit along with it. With a relay, just with a manual switch on the dash.

Since i I live in LA Iíll just make sure I donít use my fogs at the same time. Itís mostly for backroads, rural blacktop hwy etc

Sounds like a good plan. Also you can run your fogs too... most of the time cops don't care. Heck on backroads I've had my fogs, highs, and 32" light bar turned on. Really lights up the surrounds corn fields and ditches lol.

Makes sense! So white you were right, he meant "can't" lol. Yeah a good attitude with cops goes a long way.
