I mean duh obviously about th switch preventing that, but im still planning on re enforcing the head unit with a metal tube of some sort. Because its so dang easy to take the radios in these trucks, im gonna bolt down the headunit and amp and subwoofer box. Honestly just wanted to get the switch in case they were like " Oh might as well just take the entire truck."

Yes i tinted my windows i which was step 1 because the front windows were literally crystal clear. I havent been able to figure out how to put the amp on the back if the rear seats yet.

If you have a decent head unit like I do, and you won’t trust people. Take an old radio, one that came stock on the truck or one like it, disassemble it, so you only have the front grey plastic piece. Keep all the buttons intact, make it look like it is supposed to be there. And when needed pull it out and place it over the aftermarket HU so it looks stock. If thieves do look into the truck, they see a barebones basic system. This will deter most all who are looking to steal your audio equipment. Just my .02

There might be occassional crimes of opportunity,
but last car stereo i heard of being stolen....was over a decade ago. Theres virtually no market for used or stolen Newer cars are too integrated. The aftermarket head unit market is on verge of dissapearing.

I hope it is, but it's a pretty decent double din radio and I'm pretty sure thief's would rather keep it.

My amp sits vertical behind the seat in the very middle. There's an indent in the back wall right there and it's a perfect spot for an amp.

Do you have 1 or 2 subs? If just one you can put the amp under the other seat
