Default Just some Maintenance!

Well last Wednesday I finally had enough money to get all the things i've needed! My truck had to sit for 3 weeks:/
so I got a new battery! I've been switching out old batteries for too long:P i got a Napa Gold rated at 850CCA but when I tested it, it came up as 1050CCA!
I had to replace the driver side wheel bearing, due to cranking the torsion bars, and never realigning it!
then today I did preventive maintenance! I replaced the fuel pump! I got a Dephi fuel pump, it cost 40 dollars extra, but I've heard good things about dephi! I also bed lined the gas tank! keep it from rusting! and I replaced the fuel filter also! I have no idea when anything else has been done!this spring i'm going to do a coolant flush before it gets bad!:P so this summer seeing i'm regearing the front and the rear diff for the bigger tires, that will take care of fluids in those! also Struts and brakes all around!
I get a great discount at Napa, so it was 180 for the fuel pump, 95 for the battery, and 140 for the wheel bearing! not bad!

Good thinking on bedlining that gas tank... I think I'm gonna have to throw one in mine maybe this year. I was under there tonight while pulling my transmission, and noticed way more rust on it than i originally thought. The straps have started rubbing grooves into the metal. Think I may be money ahead to replace it before any issues pop up. I'll definitely bedline it before I throw it in there.

Just a tip on the battery: The CCA rating is around where it will be when the temperature of the battery is at 32* (It may be 0*... don't quote me on that). So if the temp of the battery is above that (aka the engine has been running or it has been sitting insid), it will read higher.

I was looking at tanks too, but I found I didn't need one! But I found rock auto has the like package deals, where you get the tank, straps, and the fuel pump for 237!
