Default Interchangeable interiors?

Are 97-03 f150's interiors interchangeable? Meaning, my interior is the 60/40 bench with the center console that folds up. The center console is damaged and the seats are torn up, can I pull the front seats and center console out of any expedition or F150 and it will just bolt right in ? Or will the floor only have a certain bolt holes for certain seats? I wanted to get rid of the bench seats I have a find the kind of captain chairs some f150s have with a separate center console in the middle. Thoughts??? Thanks

I just put a 99 Expy center console in mine last weekend. Everything bolted right in place. I did have to shave the floor brackets down a bit, but it installed really well.

You can also use a set of 2004-08 front seats also. I first put in a 1999 Expy set of buckets and console when I first bought the lil Red truck. I have since taken them out and install a set of 6040 seats from a 2004 Expedition. Same bracketry, and everything and a better feeling seat in my opinion. It may be the material used for the covers over our type covers. The 04 style is more like the newer Mustangs in feel. These seats are a very quick, simple install and even the power seat wiring is the same. green (+) and black (-).

nice!! So you had to shave the brackets that were on the expeditiona seats? Do you have any pics? I was wondering how nice it would look to cover all that unused space

I was stating that you can use the front seats also in our Gen 10 trucks.

I just did the console, not the seats yet. I didn't think to take a pic of the bracket but you have to take about 1/4" off each side of the bracket that secures the console to the new floor bracket. The bracket hits the rear mounting bolts.

The Expy floor brackets fit right over our existing bolts coming up from the floor. You slide the console into the floor brackets. Fits perfectly between the seats and still leaves a fair amount of room for people in the back.
