Default Increasing Towing Capacity

I have a 1998 F150 4x4 Supercab Short Bed with automatic transmission, 4.6L engine and 3.55 axle ratio. I would like to increase the towing capacity. I believe the towing capacity is 6,600# as it stands. If I changed the gear ratio in the differentials to 3.73 or 4.10 what increase in towing capability would I expect?

Yes, I would probably increase the springs and shocks and maybe add air bags.

A 150 is a 150, There is no way around that. Load helpers can be used to ride level and gear swaps will help pull better but the towing cap. will be the same. Overloading is asking for trouble.
